2019 Annual Member-Owner Meeting

 

CANDIDATES, Nominated by the Nominating Committee

Robert Greek: Mr. Greek currently serves on the CHROME FCU Board of Directors. Mr. Greek worked at Union Electric Steel for 47 years and served on the Board of it’s credit union from 1972 to 1999. He was a Director of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Credit Unions for twenty years and served as President for two years. Mr. Greek was the recipient of the 2012 Joseph A Moore Volunteer of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association. Mr. Greek was Chairman of Pittsburgh Central FCU that merged into CHROME September 2016.

Ted Stubenbordt: Mr. Stubenbordt currently serves as Chairman of CHROME FCU’s Board of Directors and has been a member of CHROME for 34 years. His experience as volunteer in the credit union industry is over 20 years. In addition to serving as a volunteer on CHROME's Board of Directors for the past 8 years, Mr. Stubenbordt is Chairman of Buffalo Township Planning Commission and, for the past 4 years, Treasurer of Buffalo Creek Watershed Association Conservation. Mr. Stubenbordt is proud to be a retired Washington Steel Journeyman Electrician and former Instructor at Penn Commercial Technology School.

Chuck Rogers: Mr. Rogers currently serves on the CHROME FCU Board of Directors. With Mr. Rogers rejoining the Board in 2017, he brings back 20 years of credit union experience. He has been a member of CHROME for 22 years and has a very good understanding of the needs of CHROME members.  A lifelong resident of Washington County, he has been employed for over 40 years by locally-based, IGS Industries.

Bob FlanyakA lifelong member of a credit union and a current member of the CHROME FCU Board of Directors, Bob grew up in the Mon Valley and graduated from South Allegheny HS and then St. Vincent College. Bob has over 30 years of experience working for and with credit unions. He was named President/CEO of CHROME FCU in 2017 and has worked to improve member service and our reputation in the community. He is currently on the Advisory Board of the Washington County Salvation Army.

Broc Sleek: Mr. Sleek currently serves on the CHROME FCU Board of Directors and brings over 10 years of experience helping consumers with their finances. Broc, a Washington County resident, is proud to serve the membership of CHROME as a Volunteer. He is the Director of Marketing for LendKey Technologies, which connects students and graduates with credit unions. He earned a business degree from the University of Pittsburgh, an MBA from Salisbury University, and a Certificate in Financial Crimes Investigation from Utica College. He resides in Chartiers Township with his wife and daughters.

  1. Review the attached slate of candidates for the Board of Directors
  2. Cast your vote by selecting your choices on the attached ballot. Vote for no more than five candidates. The CHROME FCU Board of Directors strongly urges you to vote  for the five incumbent candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee
  3. Sign the identification form and enter your account number
  4. Return the attached ballot with your candidate selections using the enclosed return mail envelope
YOUR BALLOT MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 18, 2019
 
  • Ballots will be tabulated by: Zeno, Pockl, Lilly & Copeland, A.C.
  • Election results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on May 23, 2019

CHROME FCU 2019 Annual Meeting

As member-owners, we encourage you to attend our 48th Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 5:30 pm in the CORE Community Room at our location at 440 Racetrack Road, Washington PA 15301. Tickets are not required.

2019 Notice of Board of Directors Election Procedures

The 2019 election of officers will be conducted by mail ballot, allowing every member the equal opportunity to vote. Five vacancies for three-year terms will be available for 2019. The Board has approved Timothy Blake, James Naser, and Mary Ellen West to serve as the Nominating Committee for the forthcoming election. The Nominating Committee must make nominations of candidates 90 days prior to the Annual Meeting. The nominees listed on the ballot for the 2019 election are Robert Greek (three year term); Chuck Rogers (three year term); Ted Stubenbordt (three year term); Brock Sleek (two year term); Robert Flanyak (one year term). No nominations will be permitted from the floor at the meeting.

Nominations by Petition Procedure

Applicants not nominated by the Committee and wishing to use the petition procedure must file their petitions for nomination with the Secretary of the Credit Union Board by April 13, 2019. Petitions for nomination must contain the signatures of at least 100 members and must be accompanied by a statement from the nominee declaring that he or she is agreeable to the nomination and will serve if elected. To be eligible for nomination, you must be a CHROME Federal Credit Union member in good standing. Additionally, petitions must be accompanied by a short resume (no more than 75 words) containing biographical data that will only be published in the official candidate listing and mailed out with the ballot. In the event that nominations would result in a “No Contest” (only one candidate nominated for each office), in accordance with the Credit Union bylaws, ballots will not be mailed out. Instead, the Parliamentary Rule will apply whereby the nominees will be elected by acclamation at the Annual Meeting.
