A New Chapter Begins 

On July 1, 2025, Centerville Clinics Employees Federal Credit Union will officially merge with CHROME Federal Credit Union — a trusted, values-driven credit union committed to putting its members first.

Your current Savings account will become a Primary Savings account, and you will now be a CHROME Federal Credit Union member. As a member, you’ll benefit from access to additional financial products and services, enhanced support, all while maintaining the personal touch you count on.

In the weeks following the official merger date, we’ll provide everything you need to get started with Digital Banking and explore your new benefits.

What’s Next?
The data integration is complete and your account(s) are now at CHROME Federal Credit Union. The first week of July, our team members will be contacting you directly to provide more details about your account, as well as how you can begin exploring the new products and features available to you. Here are important first steps after you receive your Member Packet:
 
Set Up Your Payroll Deduction before the July 11 Payroll Submit your direct deposit form with your new CHROME account and routing number (provided in your member account packet from CHROME) to the Centerville Clinics Human Resources Department.

Centerville Clinics Employees FCU sought an opportunity to provide additional savings, checking, and loan products to the membership while expanding resources and services offered to the employees of Centerville Clinics. CHROME Federal Credit Union, a sound, community-forward credit union, has been entrusted to serve and support the financial futures of its membership.

CHROME Federal Credit Union was founded on April 13, 1971, as Washington Steel Employees Federal Credit Union by seven employees of Washington Steel Company. 

When the local economy changed, the credit union evolved, and membership eligibility was expanded to include the eight counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania. As other credit unions merged into CHROME, our branch footprint expanded, and we now have over 13,000 members. 

CHROME Federal Credit Union is a values-driven organization focused on actions that speak louder than words. Over the past three years, the Observer-Reporter readers have awarded us First Place Awards in Best Overall Business, Best Philanthropic Business, and Best Credit Union. The merging of Centerville Clinics Employees FCU accounts to CHROME FCU will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 27, and will be completed on Monday, June 30.

During this time, you will have no access to your Centerville account. 

If you need to access your funds before July 1, 2025, please make arrangements with Centerville Clinics Employees FCU before June 27, 2025.  Our CHROME team is excited to assist you beginning July 1, 2025.

Yes, your account numbers and the routing number will change. You will receive a packet in the mail or via email from CHROME Federal Credit Union with your new account number(s). This will also allow you access to set up your new Digital Banking login.

A CHROME Care team member will be sending you a new account packet in the mail or via email. Once you receive this packet, you will be able to set up your new Digital Banking login in the CHROME FCU online banking portal or mobile app.
